Yes. The world, the client and every account are free, and always will be.
Nothing is required. You may donate here to keep the world standing, and as a thank-you points land on your account — the in-game store takes them. That store sells items and advantages, and each offer says what it gives, so you can read it before you decide. The donation is voluntary, and the whole island is playable without one.
Donations are not open yet. Until they are, the only points in the world are the ones the world owner hands out.
Premium is time, not an item: you take it in the in-game store with points, in blocks of 3, 15, 30, 90 or 360 days, and the days stack onto whatever you have left. Sometimes it also comes as a prize in the game and in events, and an account without it plays the whole island all the same.
What it gives today:
The list is not closed: what premium gives is decided in the world and can grow.
Yes. This world has open PvP: outside the temple and the depot, anybody can attack anybody. Killing marks the killer with a skull, and a killer who keeps at it loses the account.
Experience, skill, the backpack you were carrying and part of what you wore. An amulet of loss keeps your items for one death; Cipfried sells it for 25,000 gold. Take to the hunt what you can afford to leave in the corpse.
And one more thing, which is easy to miss: dying can burn an attribute off a piece you are wearing. Every death rolls a 25% chance; when it hits, one attributed piece you had equipped loses one of its attributes, drawn at random. The piece stays with you, weaker. The amulet of loss stops it, and so does a blessing: after a quest, Cipfried sells them for gold that grows with your level, up to five, and Elandor sells a blessing amulet for task points. See attributes.
Yes, the client. It is on the downloads page and already knows where the world is — there is no address to type.
No. This world runs on its own client.
Because the whole idea is to find out how far Rookgaard alone goes. Adding the mainland would make it just another server.
In Rookgaard nobody has a vocation yet. Keeping it that way is what makes skill mean something.
Go to Lost Account and type the e-mail address the account was created with. We send the number back, and a link to choose a new password. If no e-mail address was given, there is nothing to match against — talk to the world owner.
Never.
